Therapy Guidelines

Our Shared Understanding

Before we begin our journey, please take a few minutes to go over Our Shared Understanding of how therapy works. This isn't a long list of rules, but more like a roadmap to ensure your safety and comfort, and to make sure we're on the same page about things like confidentiality, session times, and how we handle cancellations. I see this as us building the safe container for the important work we'll do.

Practice Framework

  • Appointments can be scheduled through the website or by contacting One's Pace via the details provided.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.

  • Late cancellations may incur partial or full session charges depending on the circumstances.

Payments & Refunds
  • Payment is required at the time of booking, unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed upon in advance.

  • In case of cancellation, 75% of the paid amount will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 24 hours prior to the session.

  • Refunds are not provided for no-shows or late cancellations (less than 24 hours).

Confidentiality

  • All personal information and content shared during therapy sessions are treated as strictly confidential.
Exceptions to confidentiality apply only in circumstances required by law—such as situations involving:

  • Risk of harm to self or others

  • Child or elder abuse or crisis situation like domestic violence & physical abuse.

  • A court subpoena

Limitation of Services

  • While therapy aims to provide long-term emotional insight and support, outcomes depend significantly on the individual's participation and engagement.

  • Please note that this website and the services offered are not a substitute for emergency medical or psychological care.
If you are in crisis or require immediate help, please contact local emergency services.

Changes to Framework

We reserve the right to modify this framework at any time. Any updates will be reflected on this page, and continued use of the website will be considered acceptance of those changes.
